Italian Navy tall ship Amerigo Vespucci docked at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro, CA – DONT MISS IT!

The grand Italian Navy tall ship Amerigo Vespucci is at the Port of Los Angeles for a six-day stay starting July 3rd through July 8th. Visitors can enjoy free tours and explore the adjacent “Villaggio Italia,” an Italian-themed village offering cultural food, music, art, and activities.

The Amerigo Vespucci, a historic sailing ship and training vessel of the Italian Navy, will be docked at Berth 46 in the Outer Harbor of the port.

Next to the ship, Villaggio Italia will feature a “Piazza Italia” with pavilions showcasing daily performances, exhibitions, food, and film to highlight the essence and beauty of Italy.

The village will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., except:

– Wednesday, July 3 (4-10 p.m.)

– Monday, July 8 (9 a.m.-1 p.m.).

Event highlights over the six days include:

• Performances by Frecce Tricolori, the Italian Air Force’s National Aerobatic Team, above the Amerigo Vespucci. Show times: 4 p.m. on July 4; 7:15 p.m. on July 6; 7 p.m. on July 8.
• Screenings of acclaimed Italian films selected by the Venice Biennale’s Mostra Internazionale del Cinema della Biennale di Venezia, on the evenings of July 4-7.
• A taste of Italian cuisine from Eataly’s “Ristorante Italia,” along with cooking sessions, conferences, tastings, and an immersive exhibition.
• Daily music performances by the Carabinieri’s Fanfara Cadet Team.

The Amerigo Vespucci embarked on a two-year world tour last summer and has visited 15 countries across three continents. After its Los Angeles stop, the ship will continue to Japan, Australia, India, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
